Dear Prospective Student:

Thank you for your inquiry regarding the steps necessary to become a licensed real 
estate salesperson in the State of Missouri. The following information is furnished for 
your convenience. (For Kansas information, click the link to Kansas above.)

1.    All prospective licensees must complete and be certified that you have 
attended a 48 hour pre-license course of instruction in real estate subjects. 
2.    You must pass the state licensing exams after completion of the 48 hour 
pre-license course.
3.    You must complete and be certified that you have attended a 24 hour 
Missouri Real Estate Practice Course class after receiving your certificate 
for attending the 48 hour pre-license course.
4.    After completion of these requirements, you will be allowed to make 
application to the Missouri Real Estate Commission for licensure.  The time 
limit is 6 months from completion date of the 48 hour pre-license course 
to make application for license.

DO NOT SCHEDULE YOUR EXAM UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR SCHOOL CERTIFICATE.

School Information: One of Missouri’s oldest and most successful Real Estate Schools, Real

courses, and enrollment on this website. We have classrooms in eleven Missouri locations, 
internet courses, and the 24 hour Missouri Real Estate Practice Course.

Examination Procedures: The Missouri Real Estate Commission utilizes the Real Estate Examination 
Program administered by Applied Measurement Professionals, Inc. The examinations are given Monday 
through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, and one Saturday per month at the AMP offices in Lenexa, KS, 
St. Louis, Springfield and Jefferson City, MO. You will receive the candidate handbook 
your first day of class or upon your request. There are two portions to the test - National and State. The 
National portion (Salesperson and Broker) contains 100 items; the State Salesperson portion contains 40 
items; and the State Broker portion contains 75 items. To pass the Missouri Real Estate examination 
(Salesperson or Broker), you must attain a score of at least 75% on both the National and State portions.

Class Enrollment: If you should choose to enroll in Real Estate Prep School, you should complete 
the enrollment form provided on this website and return it with your check made payable to Real Estate Prep
School or include your Visa/MC/Disc card number for payment. You can also enroll with a credit card by
choosing the enrollment link, or call our office to enroll. We will then reserve a place for you in the class of  
your choosing. All other materials are provided at the beginning of class and during the course as part of the 
course fee.
